Contact & Requests

Report a road problem, request public records, ask a question, or request an item be placed on a meeting agenda.

Stay Informed
Do not use this form for emergencies. If a road is impassable, washed out, or blocked by a downed tree or power line — or if there is any immediate danger — call 911 or contact the district by phone. This form is checked periodically, not continuously, and is not monitored overnight or on weekends.

What This Form Is For

Road Conditions

Potholes, washboarding, drainage and culvert problems, brush or sight-line obstructions, signage, or gravel needs. Please describe the location as precisely as you can.

Records Requests

Requests for public records under Chapter 610 RSMo (the Sunshine Law) — financial records, minutes, contracts, correspondence. These are logged with a timestamp and answered within the statutory deadline.

Questions & Agenda Items

General questions about district operations, finances, or boundaries — or a request that a specific item be placed on the agenda for an upcoming board meeting.

Please note: The district cannot accept claims for property or vehicle damage through this form. Claims must be submitted in writing. Submissions to a public governmental body are generally public records under Chapter 610 RSMo, so please do not include information you would not want disclosed.

Send a Request

Your acknowledgment and the district's reply will be sent here.
Nearest address, intersection, or landmarks the problem is between. “About a quarter mile north of the bridge on NE 200th Rd” is more useful than “the gravel road.”
For records requests, please describe the records you are seeking as specifically as possible, including any date range.

Custodian of Records

Custodian of Records: Layne Anderson, Commissioner & Trustee ex-officio Treasurer, Cornland Special Road District, Bates County, Missouri.

Requests for public records may be submitted using the form above, or in writing to the district. Under Section 610.023.3, RSMo, the district will respond no later than the end of the third business day following receipt of the request. If records cannot be produced within that period, the district will provide a written explanation and the earliest date and time the records will be available.

Under Section 610.026, RSMo, the district may charge for the actual cost of copying and, where research is required, staff time. If a request will result in a charge, you will be notified of the estimated cost before the records are produced.

Adopted policy: Policy on Public Meetings, Public Records, and Public Votes (PDF, adopted July 23, 2026). This policy sets out how to request records, the district's response deadlines, and the fee schedule.
